Deputy High Commissioner Participates in “Shared Stripes – Shared Futures” Workshop in Hyderabad

Dr. Ganesanathan Geathiswaran, Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka, participated along with his family in the workshop titled “Shared Stripes – Shared Futures”, held on 11 and 12 May 2026 in Hyderabad, organized jointly by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India States Division, the Government of Telangana, Telangana Rising 2047 and the Telangana Forest Department. The workshop served as an important platform for dialogue and exchange of experiences on big cat conservation, wildlife protection, and environmental sustainability among participating regions. The programme brought together diplomats, senior government officials, conservation experts, and environmental stakeholders to discuss collaborative approaches towards biodiversity conservation and ecological preservation. As part of the programme, the Deputy High Commissioner also visited the Amrabad Tiger Reserve, where delegates were briefed on ongoing conservation efforts, habitat management practices, and initiatives undertaken for the protection of endangered species and the preservation of ecological balance.
