The Vice President of the Hindustan Chamber of Commerce paid a courstey call on Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka

The Vice President of the Hindustan Chamber of Commerce and Member of the State Minorities Commission, Government of Tamil Nadu, Mr. Praveen Kumar Tatia, along with other members of the Chamber, paid a courtesy call on the Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka, Dr. Ganesanathan Geathiswaran, on 27 November 2025.

The President of the Aadharsh Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Mr. G. Nageswara Rao, accompanied by  Mr. V. V. Sampath Kumar, Vice President, Mr. P. Nandagopal, Secretary, and other members, paid a courtesy call on the Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka, Dr. Ganesanathan Geathiswaran, on 06 November 2025. During the meeting, they discussed potential areas of collaboration, including investments in the healthcare and hospitality sectors, as well as initiatives to promote tourism.

Potential Investment in Dialysis Centers and Medical Supply Production in Sri Lanka

Dr. V. R. S. Sampath, Chairman of the World Tamils Economic Conference, and Mr. John Joseph, Director of International Sales, 3J Medical Supplies, met with Dr. Ganesanathan Geathiswaran, Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka on 6th November 2025. During the meeting, they expressed keen interest in establishing dialysis centers and providing medical supplies at reasonable costs, as well as exploring the possibility of setting up dialysis solution manufacturing and dialysis kit production units in Sri Lanka.

                 

The Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka, Dr. Ganesanathan Geathiswaran, participated in the Spark Minda Foundation Prosthetic Fitment Camp

The Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka, Dr. Ganesanathan Geathiswaran, participated in the Spark Minda Foundation Prosthetic Fitment Camp, a three-day initiative organized at the BMVSS (Jaipur Foot) Centre in Chennai from 19 to 21 November 2025. The camp aimed to restore mobility and dignity for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) by providing free artificial limbs and assistive aids. A special highlight was the participation of 33 PwDs from Sri Lanka, marking a significant step in cross-border humanitarian collaboration. The occasion was graced by the presence of Dr. Vinod Surana, CEO & Partner, Surana & Surana International Attorneys,  Prof. Chelva Kumar, University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka, Mr. Raj Kishore Naik, Head – Development Sourcing, Ashok Leyland,  Mr. Tilak Ahuja, Chief Procurement Officer, Switch Mobility; and Mr. Shanmugavel, Chief Operating Officer, Switch Mobility.

The meet-and-greet evening

The meet-and-greet evening was jointly organized by Mr. Sathish Jupiter, Chief Executive Officer, Jupiter Events and The Park Hotel to warmly welcome the Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka for Southern India, Dr. Ganesanathan Geathiswaran, on 18th November 2025 at The Park, Chennai. The occasion was graced by the presence of Dr. J. Radhakrishnan, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary of the Civil Supplies Department, Nawabzada Mohammed Asif Ali, Dewan to the Prince of Arcot along with a distinguished gathering of senior government officials, members of the diplomatic community, and other prominent personalities.
