Police clearance for migration purpose will be issue by Police HQ, Colombo.
This Mission will issue you with a receipt for payments and your application together with a copy of the cash receipt will immediately be forwarded to the Police Headquarters in Colombo directly or through the Consular Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka for issuance of the certificate. Police Headquarters will issue the certificate on completion of necessary investigations and transmit the same to the respective Mission.
Due to the prevailing security situation in Sri Lanka there will be a delay in obtaining these reports from Colombo. Therefore, applicants are advised to submit their applications well in advance.

National Identity Card original with 2 copies
Valid Passport with 2 copies each of Photo Page, Visa Page, Alterations / Amendments Pages
Original Birth Certificate with 2 copies
Birth Certificate English Translation with 2 copies (If not in English)
Original Marriage Certificate with 2 copiesÂ (If Married)
Marriage Certificate English Translation with 2 copies (If not in English)
Indian Police Report (Issued Within 6 Months) With 2 copies
Refugees - Camp Permission Letter with 2 copies (If Refugee staying in Camp)
Refugee Photo Identity Card with 2 copies (If Refugee)
Passport size recent colour Photographs 2 No
