Dr. Ganesanathan Geathiswaran, Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Southern India, met with the Hon. Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana, Mr. Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, during the Global Telangana Rising Summit 2025 held in Hyderabad from 8 to 9 December 2025.  During the meeting, the Hon Deputy Chief Minister enquired about the current flood relief efforts in Sri Lanka, following which the discussion focused on potential areas of collaboration mutual growth between the two neighbouring countries.  The Deputy High Commissioner also extended a personal invitation to the Hon. Deputy Chief Minister to visit Sri Lanka.

Dr. Ganesanathan Geathiswaran, the newly appointed Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Southern India, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Jishnu Dev Varma, Hon’ble Governor of Telangana, at Lok Bhavan, Hyderabad, on 10 December 2025.  Dr. E. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, IFS, Head of the MEA Branch Secretariat, Hyderabad, and other officials were also present at the meeting.    During the discussion, the Deputy High Commissioner highlighted the investment opportunities available in Sri Lanka and extended an invitation to the Hon’ble Governor to visit Sri Lanka.
